See Sound Lounge is proud to present Audiojack With Miguel Alvarado
With a musical presence and maturity beyond their experience Audiojack are arguably one of the most talented and exciting electronic music acts to develop in recent years.
Signed to Ralph Lawson’s 20:20 Vision Recordings for their solo productions and forthcoming debut album and with remixes under their belt for labels such as Renaissance, CR2, Leftroom Limited, Great Stuff, Audio Therapy and Lot 49, Audiojack have proved to have a unique ability to produce credible underground music whilst appealing to a wide enough audience to surpass the average sales and airplay of many of their peers.
Their music has gathered an enviable and varied list of
international DJs who support their sound including Groove Armada,
Sasha, Carl Cox, Deep Dish, Paul Woolford, Lee Burridge, James Zabiela,
Nic Fanciulli, Timo Maas, Erol Alkan, Black Strobe, Luciano, Steve
Lawler, Craig Richards, Meat Katie, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier and
Adam Freeland.
Their first original production ‘Robot’ released on Leftroom Limited dominated leading DJs sets on release and has sold over ten thousand vinyl and digital copies. Robot was also nominated for ‘Best British Single of 2006’ in DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards.
Debuting with such a big production meant a big follow up and when
the guys were asked by Paul Woolford to remix his recent underground
classic ‘Erotic Discourse’ they didn’t disappoint, creating another
track which has seen massive global coverage with plays from most of
the aforementioned artists and many more.
Miguel Alvarado
Miguel Alvarado has rapidly become one of Seattle’s most established
DJs. Born and raised in Mexico City, Miguel moved to Seattle in 1996.
He had a start with music in his early teens, period during which he
became interested in percussion instruments (drum set and latin
percussion). Miguel as a teenager formed a band with his friends called
“Los Cuervos,” which later evolved into “Reptil.” His bands played in
some of the most popular live band clubs of the time in Mexico City,
such as Rock Stock, Rockotitlan, El Hijo del Cuervo and La Diabla.
While Miguel was busy with live music, he also developed an interest in
DJ-ing. He began throwing parties with his friends where he would play
Acid House for the underground lovers, and remixes of more commercial
tracks by by producers such as Shep Pettibone. During that time Miguel
became a tracker (mod) addict, using Scream Tracker and Impulse Tracker.
